The Lisbon region is the wealthiest in Portugal, boasting a GDP per capita of 26,100 euros, which is 4.7% higher than the average GDP per capita of the European Union.
Its metropolitan area ranks as the twentieth richest on the continent, with a GDP of approximately 58 billion euros, accounting for about 35% of the country’s total GDP.
